R.I.P. Beautiful Ghost

We lovingly said good-bye to our beautiful Ghost over the weekend.
Ghost was a Great Pyrenees. She was a high spirited energetic dog.

Ghost had a lot of hair. We vacuumed daily for the last 8 years. I honestly could do a commercial for Kirby. I don't think any other vacuum on the planet could have held up to Ghost's hair and all the vacuuming we've done. :)
Almost everyone who met Ghost felt like they had experienced a past life with her. They connected with her deep inner spirit and passion for life and food!
Ghost had her own unique style. She loved to bark, chew on bones, roll around in the house and wrestle with Marv and Goldie. She was their adopted mama dog since they were tiny puppies. She was tough enough to handle all their hair pulling, wresting, lunging, jumping punishment. She loved it. Finally something had come along that could play at her level.
She had the brightest eyes and the biggest eye lashes!
She was always around to lend a helping paw or bark with you while you worked on a project. She had to inspect everything. Daily she would make the same walk around the yard. She walked the outer perimeter to make sure everything was secure and safe. Strangers would knock at the door and cringe at the site of Marv our very sweet Pit Bull mix. Little did they know Marv would lovingly lick you to pieces but Ghost would inspect you and feel if you were suitable to be coming in to the house.
We are going to miss our beautiful Ghost, but maybe there's a reason she was aptly named Ghost? Maybe she'll stick around with us a little longer. You can still hear her barking or scratching on the door to come in.

Thank you beautiful Ghost for your unconditional love and loyalty!
You will be missed but never forgotten.
